1 oz Strong Hold Mustache Wax with Pine Resin
and free bard of soap!
*Scent: Spiced Berry
It was always a challenge to find a good mustache wax. Some would be too tacky and I'd have to melt it with a blow dryer. Others seemed to be no thicker than beard balm. Like, what's the point of even calling it mustache wax? So I knew in my mind what I didn't want kühn's mustache wax to be. That's where I started from when I started formulating it. I think it's finally perfect.
Its not so tacky that you'll need to heat it up in any way, but it does contain a good amount of pine resin, lanolin, and beeswax so it's not light by any stretch. I also wouldnt call it a competition wax, its not that strong, but it holds very well.
Its soft enough to get out with the back of your thumbnail and hold a mustache at the same time. No additional tools required. It's a good, solid hold, that will last and wont leave a visible residue on your face.
I added the bar of soap for when its time to wash it off :)
*As far as the scent goes.
I found a pinyon pine resin that has an amazing natural scent to it. It's very earthy with just the slightest hint of pine/balsam. I then added a touch of lingonberry to give it an added sweetness on the top end, but not too sweet. I really want the natural earthiness of the resin to come through and not get masked by the berry.
For me, with mustache wax being directly under your nose, I dont think sweet works at all. That gets old quick. If its too earthy, then that gets old too and can even start to smell pungent after a while. I think you need something that smells good so you enjoy wearing it, but you also dont want to smell that all day long. I think this is a good balance.
I think you'll like it.
