TL;DR: Peptide Serum for Face & Beard
RENEW is a lightweight peptide and hydration serum. Powered by a tri-peptide complex alongside dual-weight hyaluronic acid and a marine glycoprotein, it's built to improve the look of firmness and smooth the appearance of skin texture, while conditioning the dryness and irritation that builds up under a beard. Housed in a limited micro-batch of only 20 bottles, each order comes in a custom laser-cut, hand-stained wooden box. It's fast-absorbing, non-greasy, and made for your face and the skin beneath your beard.
This is an unscented product.
Why I Formulated This
I designed RENEW to bring serious peptide formulation into an everyday grooming routine. By layering three distinct peptides with two different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, I built what I call a "signal and saturate" serum — the peptides are there for the look of firmness and texture, the hyaluronic acid is there to hold the moisture that makes any of it visible.
Limited Micro-Batch: Only 20 Bottles Available
The raw peptide actives in this formula are some of the most expensive ingredients I work with. Because of that cost, I hand-formulate this in micro-batches of only 20 units, each poured into a 50ml glass bottle to protect the actives and keep every peptide fresh. This lets me control the process from start to finish, the same way I do with every product I make.
I source all of the ingredients myself and I use the highest quality available to me.
Full Ingredient List:
Distilled Water (Aqua), Propanediol, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Sodium PCA, Sodium Hyaluronate (High Molecular Weight), Sodium Hyaluronate (Low Molecular Weight), Hydroxyethylcellulose, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid.
Dual-Zone Performance
1. For Your Face
Look of Firmness: I used a tri-peptide complex because of what peptides do for the appearance of density and firmness — the things that start to slip as skin ages.
Multi-Depth Hydration: I paired a high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with Sodium PCA to hydrate at the surface and deeper within the skin at the same time, for a plumped, less tired look.
Cold-Water Resilience: I included a marine-derived glycoprotein, originally identified in an extremophile bacteria that survives in Antarctic conditions, for its moisture-retention and skin-conditioning properties.
2. For Your Beard Foundation
Comfort Under the Beard: I added Panthenol specifically for the dryness and irritation that builds up underneath facial hair, especially during growth cycles.
Lightweight Delivery: The base is built to absorb quickly, so it conditions the skin below your beard without leaving hair feeling coated or weighed down.
Barrier Support: Panthenol is one of the most established skin-conditioning ingredients there is, and it earns its place in the high-friction areas your beard covers every day.
The Ingredient Strategy
| Ingredient | My Goal for Your Skin |
|---|---|
| Tri-Peptide Complex | The look of firmness, and softer-looking expression lines. |
| Dual-Weight Hyaluronic Acid | Saturated hydration at the surface and deeper skin layers. |
| Sodium PCA | Your skin's own natural moisturizing factor, layered on top of the HA. |
| Marine Glycoprotein | Cold-resilient moisture retention and conditioning. |
| Panthenol (B5) | My choice for skin that feels soothed and comfortable. |
What You Can Expect
Day 1: Skin feels immediately hydrated, with a smooth, non-greasy finish and none of the tightness that comes with drier serums.
Week 2: Skin feels more resilient, with visibly less dryness and less flaking underneath the beard.
Month 1+: This is where you'll start noticing the look of firmness and a more refined overall texture.
How to Use My Protocol
Massage the serum into clean, slightly damp skin. If you have a beard, work it all the way down to the skin surface — RENEW is designed for your entire face, not just what's visible above the hairline. Follow with your preferred moisturizer or beard butter to lock everything in.
Note: This serum has no natural tint or added dye — what you see is simply the true, colorless nature of these actives.
Why I Chose These Ingredients
I don't pick ingredients because they sound impressive. Every active in here is one I went and read about first, and I'd rather show you where I looked than ask you to take my word for it. These are references for the ingredients themselves — not claims about what this bottle will do for your face.
The peptide combination. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 are among the most widely used peptides in the anti-aging category, and they show up together in serious formulations for a reason. That pairing has been studied in a multi-peptide topical serum published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (Li et al., 2023). Read the paper
Acetyl Octapeptide-3. From a family of peptides that has been in cosmetic use since the early 2000s, developed specifically for the appearance of expression lines. The foundational work on this class was published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science (Blanes-Mira et al., 2002). Read the paper
The marine glycoprotein. Pseudoalteromonas ferment extract comes from an Antarctic bacteria, and it's a genuinely unusual thing to find in a men's grooming product. The exopolymer produced by Pseudoalteromonas antarctica NF3 was characterised in the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science (de la Maza et al., 1997) — that work is why it's used as a skin-conditioning ingredient. Read the paper
Dual-weight hyaluronic acid. A deliberate choice over single-weight. Different molecular sizes sit at different depths, and using both is what gets you hydration that lasts rather than hydration that sits on top.
Panthenol. A standard in barrier-support formulation and one of the most reliable skin-conditioning ingredients I work with.
