Amazing smell and feels wonderful!! I have never had any itchiness with it, my beard feels very healthy and soft. This is after about two weeks of use
I wanted to try a natural product that would help to moisturize and wash my moustache. Unfortunately, due to my career I can't have a beard, but this product has really helped to keep my moustache looking and feeling great. Also, I really enjoy the smell. I want to try some of the other products and test out some other smells as well. Would recommend 100%.
Since a cosmetic product can be of great quality but still react poorly depending on the individual, I like to provide context for my review. My beard is medium length made up of really fine wavy hair. I like to straighten out my beard and I avoid any balms, waxes, or heavy styling products in order to leave it silky and smooth.
The co-wash has done a good job at keeping my beard feeling clean and fresh. As I am using this alongside other products, it's hard to tell the extent of the effects. Once you really work it into your beard it does a great job at keeping my beard feeling silky.
The best Co-wash I've found! Mild, rich and almost creamy texture that really leaves my beard feeling clean and refreshed! And the apple bourbon scent is awesome!
This is my first time purchasing the co-wash and it’s unbelievable. I grabbed the Bair Canyon and I’m glad I did. It smells great and my beard feels so soft. I never achieved this texture with a major brand. Chris has been great responding when I have questions and I won’t look anywhere else. I’ve been a customer for about 3 years.
This stuff seriously softens up the beard. Coupled with the oil and the butter my beard has been the healthiest it has ever been. I only knocked one star off because the label disintegrated within a couple of weeks in the shower and got everywhere.
This brand has been a mainstay in my rotation pretty much since I grew my beard. Their stuff is top quality and the cowash has become static in my routine when I'm not doing a deep clean. Beard's softer, more manageable, and the scents are great.
I like to shampoo and it makes my beard feel nice and soft. However one thing I would suggest is labelling. Soon as that label hits the water it starts rubbing off and when you're putting the shampoo on your hands in order to mix it in, you have paper also mixed in with the shampoo. The labelling I would change. People are showering and using the beard shampoo so therefore I wouldn't put paper labelling on it. Just put labelling directly on the bottom.
First time using co-wash. My beard feels soft, non-greasy, and hydrated. You can also use it on your head hair with the same great results. I would definitely recommend it to my friends
The Co Wash does a great job. My beard does feel soft and clean, and the scent is great!! As with all products, I've tried from Kune the ingredients are top notch and the customer service from Chris is Steller. Truly a great product!!
I love the co-wash. Cherry pipe is phenomenal in scent. I like to use non- scented when I switch different scents with the beard balms. The only critique I would have is maybe just needs to gather up just a bit more
The cowash is like no other product. I’m also using the beard /hair/skin moisturizer, the oils and the newest and best addition is the hair crème medium hold. Very happy with their products. For those that have flyaways the haar crème ended mine in first use. Good stuff, better company
I’ve been using Co-Wash and I really like how gentle it feels on my beard. It cleans without stripping everything out, so my beard still feels soft and moisturized after I rinse it out.
What I noticed most is that it works well for keeping my beard fresh between regular washes. I have tried many beard products but returned to using Kuhn cowash because it is not only a great product but is more economical than others without sacrificing quality and effectiveness. The scent is very nice and my wife likes the scent too, which is a deciding factor.
I was missing a step in my beard routine. The routine I was missing in my option is the most vidal, your beard washing, or should I say co-washing. Not everyone that sells beard products, sells a beard co-wash, not only that, try to find a company that sells a variety of co-wash with an array of different scents. Now try to find one that won't strip the natural oils from your beard, and something you can use daily. KUKN Co-wash!!! ..... Highly recommended.
Chris was very helpful and is a great guy to do business with. The beard products I ordered have been awesome and last all day. They smell amazing and they have made my beard really soft without leaving it oily like other brands. Misty Mountain,Cherry Pipe,and Mountain Whiskey smell amazing and there are plenty more scents I cant wait to try.
This stuff is awesome. Leaves your beard good n' soft. Just know, this stuff is not supposed to lather like soap or shampoo does - it's meant to moisturize. Leave it in for at least a couple mins; the longer, the better. I slap it on first thing and rinse it out last - works every time.

This Sourhern Utah CO-WASH is great. Takes beard softness and texture to the next level.
The Southen Utah scent is great for summer or warm weather. The scent is sort of like a Citrus heavy IPA. Still trying to determine if the citrus leans more like a mango, pineapple or orange scent but nonetheless smells terrific.
I had not used any beard products in the past so I thought I would try something. I found Kuhn and tried it. It does a nice job, along with the oil and butter, of helping me control the scraggly beard and making it manageable and look groomed.
Warm a small amount between your palms until it melts, then work it through — damp or dry, doesn't matter much. Focus on the flyaways, balm works better for that.
Can I use shampoo or hair conditioner on my beard?
Yes, you can — though it's better to use our co-wash. It's sulfate-free and keeps your hair and beard feeling moisturized instead of dried out, which is what regular shampoo sulfates will do to it.
Are beard oils safe?
Yes — ours is non-comedogenic, five real cold-pressed oils, no phthalates or filler. If you've got a known nut or seed oil allergy, check the ingredients first like you would with anything else you put on your skin.
What beard products do I actually need?
Co-wash in the shower, then oil, butter, or balm after you towel off. That combo alone will make your beard really soft — add balm on top of the oil or butter if you also want hold.
Does beard balm/butter/oil help my beard grow?
No — nothing you put on your face makes hair grow faster, that's genetics. What balm does is stop breakage and calm the itch that makes guys pick and over-trim, so you keep more of what you're already growing.
How much beard balm should I use?
Usually more than you think — I see a lot of guys use too little. Just keep applying until it feels like enough for the length of your beard. Longer beard, more balm. Thicker beard, more balm.
What is beard balm used for?
Balm's heavier and thicker than oil or butter, so it holds. That's what keeps your flyaways down and helps your beard keep its shape through the day, on top of conditioning it.
Is beard balm the same as beard butter?
Nope. My balm's about 30% beeswax, my butter's only around 5% — so butter still has a touch of hold, just way less than balm. Both condition your beard, balm just adds a lot more hold on top of that.
Should I use beard butter at night?
Sure. Good option if you want deep conditioning working overnight without any hold or shine the next morning.
How often should I use beard butter/balm/oil?`
Daily. Damp beard, right after your shower.
Do you use beard butter or oil first?
You can use both, if you want — I'd do oil first, it's easier to apply butter on top after. But you don't have to use both. Either one alone works fine, oil for a normal day, butter if your beard's especially dry.
Can I use beard oil, balm, and butter together?
Yes, and a lot of guys do. Oil or butter for daily conditioning, balm on top if you want hold. Just don't use oil and butter in the same routine — pick one based on how dry your beard's running that day.
I use beard oil/balm/butter but my beard is still really dry and unruly, why?
A well moisturized beard starts in the shower and what you wash it with. If you wash your beard with shampoo or regular bar soap, your beard is being stripped and will be very dry. You need to use a conditioner or co-wash.
I'm new to beard products, what's the difference between oil/balm/butter?
They are all designed to moisturize your skin and beard, they just do it in a slightly different manner. Keep it simple. Short beards, beard oil. A bit longer, beard butter. Longer and/or thicker unruly beards, beard balm. Start with an oil and butter if you're new, then go from there.
What's the shelf life of oil/balm/butter?
12 months if stored in a cool, dry place.
How much do I use of oil/balm/butter?
Depends on the length of your beard, but most don't use enough. You need enough to cover all of the hair follicles. It's difficult to apply too much, and very easy to use too little.
How long does the scent last?
You should expect 6-8 hour from our scents.
Will it stain my clothes?
No, it shouldn't. Most beard products leave a greasy film on the outside of your beard which can rub off onto your clothes. Our products are designed to absorb fully so there shouldn't be any transfer onto your shirt or other clothing.
What if I order a scent I don't like?
TOO BAD! I already got your money. JK. If you order any product from kühn and you're not happy with the scent, we will replace it with the scent of you choice. We'll never make someone keep a scent they won't wear.
